Brief
MetaCat will bridge the gap between internal sectors by enabling high-performance indexing and schema matching. The Enterprise Data Solutions (EDS) team at NYC Opportunity has received executive support and investment to archive and make internal data accessible.

City workers can use the service catalog to direct and serve clients to appropriate service locations that will help solve their problems. As part of NYC Opportunity's product revamp, a new branding and visual system was needed for internal use across different departments.

Idea
Utilizing the research background surrounding the product and its usage. Ideally, it would be used to create a central system for data, but it's also a catalog of different information from diverse sources.

Coming up with concepts with my Creative Director and members of the EDS, we focused on the new name for the brand and the visual adaptation it will take on since it is an internal product. Several logo ideas were created to capture the product's essence and form the data catalog's final mark and name, MetaCat.
